Dianne has been riding horses since she was 4 years old and always had a soft spot for any animal that needed help rescueing animals in need, whether it was a baby bird that had fallen from a nest or a snake hit by the lawnmower. But always it was the horses that pulled her the most and one day she would have a safe place to help horses get a second chance and not end up going to slaughter.
Kevin grew up in Conn. and always loved animals, he met Dianne when they worked at an Inn together in Vermont. They were married in October 1994 and he has been Dianne's biggest cheerleader, supporter and groom.

This is our inspiration, our girl Kirwan. She is a 1994 Standardbred mare that we rescued from going to slaughter in 1999. She was raced under the name Emily Mac in Saratoga, NY. She was in the winner's circle once in her career but was in the money consistantly which kept her racing for four seasons. I renamed her Kirwan's Folly (Kirwan was my Great-Grandfather's last name and he is the only equine link on either side of my family) and I retrained her to event and she won MANY ribbons and was Reserve Champion for a summer series of Three Phase Eventing at Horse Amour in Castleton, Vt. And in the spring of 2008 she gave us a beautiful filly. She is fourteen now and semi-retired.
